Review – Vesper Wraps Galaxia Breeze

Some while ago Ilse from Vesper Wraps contacted me if I would like to test one of their wraps. At that time I was pregnant and the toddler wasn’t wrapped that much anymore so that I wasn’t sure if we could really test so that we waited until our squish was born. Now I got a big and heavy parcel with this beautiful wrap in it. So, at first the hard facts:

Vesper Wraps Galaxia Breezy
48% Linen and 52% Combed Cotton
300g/m²
Retail prize for a size 6: 230€

Vesper Wraps is a brand from the Netherlands which got my attention through their beautiful photos. I really like that style from Jilke became a photographer and followed the page to see what designs might come up.

The Galaxia design of this tester reminds me of stars, outer space and connections between the stars like the connection between us and our kids. The lines are very thin and evenly all oer the wrap. I really like geometric patterns but this one is a little bit to restless for me.
The colour is an icy blue and I really like the name Breezy for it. It nailed it. Imagine a cold winter day, you put on your warmest wool socks and a coat to take a walk at a frozen lake, breathing the fresh air and getting your head free from all worries. That’s this wrap.

It feels really heavy in hand and at the beginning I was worried how it would be with our tiny 5 weeks old squish. It came here ready to be wrapped so it just got a little ironing treatment. And I was surprised how smooth it was while I wrapped my little baby in it. It is 67cm wide so of course there is a lot of fabric around the baby but when I saw the result in the mirror, it was totally okay. But no doubt: this wrap needed a little breaking in.

So we used it for two weeks nearly every day and it softened up a lot. You can still feel the high linen content but this makes it the perfect toddler wrap. It is very airy, strong and supportive while being easy to care for and to wrap with. Beause of the filigree pattern the weave is pretty dense and doesn’t tend to pulls. It has a nice amount of grip and doesn’t feel slippery at all.

Wrapping my almost 3yo old toddler was a little bit difficult at first. He said that it was digging in his legs but after I tried again and wrapped more excactly he liked it. And my shoulder did as well. Galaxia Breezy has a lovely cush on the shoulders and an amazing support for bigger kids. I can also imagine it being a super nice shorty or ring sling.

I would say it is the perfect wrap for beginners and experienced wrappers who have a toddler and another smaller baby. This wrap is great for every day uses, it’s a real work horse and I mean that as a big compliment. It will be a great companion in your daily life!
